Women in film - horror films - psycho (1960): Psycho demonstrated monstrous feminine - mothers love can suffocate the son: this can create an inappropriate relationship. It is a transmedia genre - you can find it anywhere, comic books to movies. It erases the boundaries between fantasy and reality. Women have a prominent presence in this genre, on the screen - women scream a lot or they kill a lot or get killed a lot. 1960s to early 1970s horror movies were considered marginal entertainment. 1980s: this genre was all over the media. It became an overstatement of violence: gory, violent that transform the body, removal of skin because of diseases. They tell us how our society works in a certain narrative (in the way people die) Culture and savy of movies that an essence - the monstrous science, science of the body, fascination of biology. From the 1980s onward, this genre became more popular.
