Web 2. 0: 2006 (1 billion + global users, 80,000,000 sites, a communal garden or wildly read-write web , user generated content creates a collective intelligence. Core principles of web 2. 0 (textbook page, 21) Decentralized control: nobody outright owns the internet, organizations keep track of the rules of the internet with global, vip, and everyday community members. Expected to change/evolve over time: no one expects anything, understand that what we know the internet as now could be completely different from 20 or 30 years. Create machine readable metadata for everyone: metadata example; where the twitter user tweeted from physically, other people, location, or business tags.
