Other: response based on how you think the other person will interpret and feel about the situation, given their knowledge, background, and experience. Third party: how an uninvolved and objective third party might view the problem ( fly on the wall perspective) (neutral person, not emotionally involved in the situation) Example: government considering tax reform with respect to small business owners. Self: as a self-employed small business owner, you do not want reforms that will eliminate your ability to pay lower taxes on income. Other: as someone who is not able to claim similar levels of deduction on employment income, your neighbour feels that you do not pay your fair share. Third party: canada revenue agency employee who must enforce any tax reforms in a neutral and objective way.
