Moving towards union or uniformity; merger of old and new media; it"s a technological, economic, and cultural process. Building on old media, so television never disappears. Digital media- merging form and mode of communication (synchronizing eachother) Economic convergence (monopoly)- industries that buy other industries to support them such as newspaper that buys paper mill.
