Rink discusses three main dimensions to consider when planning a pedagogical intervention: Content dimension (e. g. movement tasks, psychomotor, maximal activity) Endurance, performance, strategy) (specific goal more focused intervention) Organizational dimension (arrangements of people, time, space, equipment) # of groups (how many need to active to support this activity?) Use homo groups when psychomotor goals are most important. Avoid continuous use of hetero groups in competitive situations. Other criteria: interest, ethnicity, social compatibility, stature, gender, chance. Teacher-paced (come earlier: control over important cues, cues can be used to generate rhythm. Use markers to define flow of task. The need for large space must be balanced with the need for maximal activity.
