Muscle gets shorter, humurus moves closer to scapular (abduction) 4 muscles form musculotendinous rotator cuff around glenohumeral joint. All rotate humers expect supraspinatus because it helps with shoulder adduction. Held glenoid in place because they surround glenoid head. Only one attaches to greater tubercle, other 2 attaches to lesser tubercle.
