Most health and safety acts provide for ines up to 000. Under workers" compensaion, injured workers can receive beneits in the form of a cash payout or wage loss payments. The goal is to return employer to their job. To achieve this objecive, the majority of employers have a formal safety program. Survey results showed a direct correlaion between an increase in management"s commitment to safety in the workplace and a decrease in accidents.
