Job saisfacion is deined as a pleasurable emoional state resuling from the appraisal of one"s job or job experience: how you feel about your job an what you think about your job. Value: things that people consciously or subconsciously want to seek or atain. Value percept theory: a theory that argues that job saisfacion depends on whether the employee perceives that his or her job supplies those things that he/she values, dissaisfacion = (vwant vhave) x (vimprtance) Vwant relects how much of a value an employee want. Vhave indicates how much of that value the job supplies. Vimportance relects how important the value is to the employee: the diference between want in need is muliplied by importance, so exciing discrepancies get magniied for important values, pay saisfacion. Employees" feeling about the compensaion for their jobs: promoion saisfacion. Employees" feeling about how the company handles promoions: supervision saisfacion.
