Behavioural issues (strategic, business integration, implementation and etc) Input: captures raw data from organization or external environment. Processing: converts raw data into a meaningful form. Output: transfers processes information to people or activities that use it. Advanced information systems also incorporate one additional functionality: Feedback: output returned to appropriate members os organization to help evaluate or correct input stage. The three core activities are not limited to technologies. Action (verbs): what you typically do with data/information/knowledge. Representation (nouns): how is data/information/knowledge typically, stored, presented and communicated etc. Tools for data, information and knowledge: icts that can be used to facilitates actions and representations. Social media platforms and applications have changed how we communicate, socialize, access and use information and shop but these tools are the means of doing things not the ends.
