Youth go through a pattern of serial monogamy they stay with one partner for a time then move on to another when that relationship ends. Oral contraceptive use was more common than condom use in students grade 7,9, and 11. The only fantasy endorsed more often by women is dressing in erotic garments. Greater alcohol use leads to greater engagement in friends with benefits relationships. Having a greater number of partners for women is more associated with worry and vulnerability. Heterosexual men are aroused by female stimuli but not male stimuli. For gay men it is the opposite: women experience arousal to both male and female stimuli, more general pattern of arousal. Study: no gender differences are apparent in attitudes about homosexuality, the experience of sexual satisfaction, or attitudes toward masturbation. Investigators have noted a decrease in number of sexual partners and a tendency to delay sexual intercourse among adolescents.
