Document Summary

This sample is likely to be representative of the population. Everyone in the population has equal chance of being chosen. Specific cluster you can identify in your population. Then you randomly select the population within the cluster. Used when you don"t have access to everyone. But you know where a certain cluster is. Identify proportion of people in population that belong to the subgroups. Then randomly draw population from subgroups that correspond to the proportion in population. Every participant has equal chance of being any experimental condition. Every person in the population has equal chance of being chosen to participate in the study. Is hard figure out what the target population. So when the sample size becomes so small it"s impossible to do random assignment. No one really achieve full random assignment. Because they are not representative of population. Based on low generalizability, participants can volunteer to participate or not, so it is even lower.
