Sight (stimulus) -> pounding heart (arousal) + fear (emotion) Often we may misattribute our physical arousal to an emotion we may feel. When traveling over a high bridge, our heart starts pounding. If we see an attractive person coming towards us during that time, we may misattribute our heart pounding to attraction for that person.
