No change in symptoms or severity: quinquefolium. Helps reduce frequency, severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms. 200 mg (rich in polysaccharides extract from the root of p. quinquefolius) Dose: 1-2 caps po bid x duration of cold. Intended to imitate cold-fx: quinquefolius root extract standardized to 4% ginsenosides. Never been allowed to market as having immediate relief . Vaccinated healthy seniors no change in resp sx, ari. 4 months treatment # of colds, total symptom days.
