Jean baudrillard - the ideological genesis of needs. Needs and whether it is a legitimate. Economics is less relevant granted concept: exchanging signs, production used to be important but is replaced by consumption, analogy btwn himself and frued abt dreams. Can"t look at dreams and explanations in one way. Need to look at the complexity of consumption. Can"t think of one symbol with one meaning. Metaphysics: relationship between things that aren"t necessarily perceivable. Consumer world is a dream, its an illusion. Does it depend on the person: baudrillard - every single needs is false. Cant get the gist of something by just looking at what"s around them. Ie people aren"t just what they look like or their bodies. We can"t just take things on the surface to deconstruct it o. Subject and object subject gives rise to subjective and objects are objective: subjects = inside yourself; don"t look at the body.
