Measurement assigning a number to some phenomenon. Psychological measurement assigning a number to a psychological measurement: giving people tests, giving people a standard set of items in a standard format. People will project their own thoughts and feelings onto ambiguous stimuli and thereby unconsciously reveal the type of person they are. Come up with a number, value, trait, motive etc: rorschach inkblot test standard set of stimuli, show them to people.
