Psych and law is related to social psych because the law only makes sense in a social way. If we were all morally upright people with integrity we probably wouldn"t have a legal system. It is a solution of the problem of people living together and not always living together nicely. The idea behind the paper is you need to become experts in a very narrow field of research. You need to find the whole literature on a certain topic. Actual empirical articles with data on them (2-4 pages) e. g. lie detection = too broad. Traditional lie detection with fmri technology , or whatever gives you only a few articles.
