Research assignment: the impact of evaluative judgments on sentencing. Deals with a man whose sexual preferences and fantasies are deemed morally and legally unacceptable. He tried to suppress or change those desires but did not feel successful. He feels his control slipping, and now repeats his cycle - risking everything he has for pleasure and comfort that comes from temporarily satisfying his desires. He has always been attracted to young individuals (in grades 7 or 8) or either gender. He developed a procedure to obtain sexual relations with them, Identified isolated boys and girls from single-parent homes. He would talk to them, and invite him and his friends to come work around his house to make money. He would maintain a good relationship with the single mother - the mother would trust him. He would offer the kids alcohol, and often get alone with them.
