Ater one week, they associated the beep on pager and arrival of food (classical condiioning). They also learned to associate their hurrying to the food trough with pleasure of eaing (operant condiioning) Behaviourism: the view that psychology should be an objecive science that studies behaviour without reference to mental processes. Dogs salivate at simuli associated with food: sight of food, food dish, presence of person who regularly brought food.
