Human beings are the only creatures that contemplate ourselves (contemplation comes in forms such as folk tales, popular songs, poetry ) We think, feel, dream, act and wonder how and why we do these things. Human self-contemplation is now known as science-psychology. Psychology - is the science of behaviour and the mind. Behaviour - the observable actions of a person or an animal. Mind- individual sensations, perceptions, memories, thoughts, dreams, motives, emotions and other subjective experiences. All of the unconscious knowledge and operating rules that are built/stored into the brain and conscious experience. Science - attempts to answer questions by systematic collection & logical analysis of objectively observable data. Data in psychology based on observation of behaviour which helps determine inferences about the mind. Psychology - applied discipline, also one of the helping professions clinical psychologist who work in applied areas of psychology help people to cope with everyday problems.
