Intrinsic reinforcers- orginate inside the individual and inherently related to activity being ireinforced (pride of accomplishment) perform well of job recognize high level is reinforced (pride of accomplishment and want to go to work, like to do those things) Extrinsic reinforce can diminish effectiveness of intrinsic reinforcers. One class, nothing happens, adult comes great pictures deserve a ribbon and all kids get ribbons. Extrinsic reinforce ribbon for drawing picture, 2nd free time and how much time drawing, kids who receive ribbon become less interested. Ribbon cause children less interested in doing fun activity.
