Once the players were removed from the pile, moore remained lying on the ice for several minutes until he was removed with the help of a stretcher. As a result of this brutal incident, moore suffered three fractured vertebrae in his neck, a severe concussion, vertebral ligament damage, nerve damage, and facial cuts. To date, moore has not appeared in another professional hockey game.
