Feel more pain vs base line if you expect it to - > experience more pain. Everybody has very diff pain thresholds and these change all the time. Undesired side effects of drugs can come from this - > told to expect being nauseas- > feel nausea. Told something bad was going to happen - > feel something bad. Nocebo- > i shall harm: increase of neg side effects based in expectations. Have to disclose regular symptoms and side effects - > informed consent. But then have to tell them it"s a placebo- > no effect.
