Terminology: holocaust: whole burnt offering, it seemed to be one word that people started using, took some time for the word to catch on, hurban massive destruction, yiddish word, shoah unforeseen, sudden disaster, hebrew word, genocide (cide to kill) to kill the genes of a people, wasn"t clear right away what to call it. 1978 t. v. series holocaust: an enormous success, at its height it had 120 million viewers, at the end they are heading to israel to have a safe and happy life that they couldn"t get in europe, not a documentary, rather soap opera like.
