Penguins stay behind to protect eggs, eggs hatch in the summer. Mom bear lures cubs out with milk. Spring sun melts sea ice, she must hunts for seals to feed babies. Putting cubs to test, do not have urgency to find food. Of cubs die first year on ice. Summer brings 24 hours of sun, shifting landscape. Herds travel over 2000 miles/year to find fresh water. Calves must be running once they are born. Packs of wolves follow the herd in hopes of eating young stupid calves. Run at herd to generate panic (cid:0) death separated from mom (cid:0) Sun doesn"t set in summer breaking up herd, easy to target individual (cid:0) calf. Latitude the sun is crazy and nrg doesn"t reach ground so no trees. As spring creeps up, snow thaws and shows forest. Summer brings life to forest and supports many animals and ecosystems. Winter, land becomes barren and animals must hibernate, migrate or starve for months.
