An invasive species is an organism that is introduced to an area outside its native range that causes or has the potential to cause harm to the environment, economy, or human health. When they are present they become overly abundant and start harming the environment human health economy or a combination of all three. Native specie: present in the location or ecological context in which it evolved. Exotic species: a species found outside of its native range. Invasive species: an exotic species that causes economic to other problems. Came in as seed contamination in forage, creates monoculture in rangelands and dry areas. It alters the re cycle, it increases the re frequency, and because it increases this is eliminated a lot of the other species. Vines that grow very fast, and cover everything. Brought in for ecological restoration project because it is good at covering soil. It is invading out into the native rangeland.
