What we know about terrorists: most are young men, reasonably well educated, and not socially disadvantaged (turk 2004). Especially lone-wolves: western media images, labels lead to certain ways of thinking and certain forms of social control, our labels for terrorism tend to legitimate hostility while undermining reflection and dialogue. Why is the image often different from reality. All out investment, mobilization and sacrifice (an entire nation to go to war) We have a tendency to talk about terrorism in means of war it sets up a series of social process. A recognizable (cid:498)enemy(cid:499) that must be defeated (cid:523)defeat an enemy at all costs it"s about war(cid:524) Criticism is unpatriotic (cid:523)) don"t think we should invade afghanistan(cid:524) if we say this we become unpatriotic. Crime is never (cid:498)acceptable(cid:499) (cid:523)rid the country of terrorism, it must be stamped out(cid:524) We don"t negotiate with criminals (cid:523)by framing terrorism in forms of crime, what we do is we take any possibility.
