By feminist", i mean research and activism that acknowledge the oppression of women and seek to end it, i. e. research and activism that are centrally informed by the political goals of the feminist movement . I was surprised in that she did not specify equality in her definition or that feminism does not mean favouring women or expressing hatred to men. Also surprised that she didn"t go into more detail. Each of these traditions is best suited to particular kinds of research, and best addresses particular kinds of research question (notion that they"re all important because they address different things) Basically, answers specific questions about women and is straight forward. This approach focused on women"s psychological aspects of health and their feelings/attitudes. Just focuses on what is being said, researcher does not assume that a participant is feeling a certain way, they take spoken words for what they mean, not how they are interpreted.
