Individual responsibility is the main factor here legitimate dependency: this discourse embraces the the ambiguous legitimization offered by the biomedical discourse, including the language of disability. They did not choose their dependency, but that it initially happened to them and as now forced on them by irrational policies and practices and uncompromising welfare workers. Women suggested that their knowledge and ability to learn and think critically could facilitate individual and social change through working together.
