We want to know student"s perceptions of their own selves and their own attitudes toward going. Individual difference, known as self-concept clarity, reflects how clearly, confidently and consistently people describe their sense of self. Greek:, we have to use self-report measures, and obtain this from many individuals. Survey: a quantitative strategy for systematically collecting information from a group of individuals; the information is then generalized to a larger group of interest. Are all college professors the same? economic issues and foreign policy. Weighing our options: using a scale to measure our variables. Open-ended questions: a questions participants answer using their own words. Asked social-personality psychologists about their political ideology in 3 different areas: social and the areas of economic issues and foreign policies were more diverse than previously believed, refuting the idea that all professors gave the same political biases.
