Goals: help develop a solid understanding of core social psychological perspectives, theories and research, understanding research methods. Learning objectives: self-perception, social perception, attitudes, persuasion, social influence, group behaviour, stereotypes & prejudice, aggression, altruism, attraction & intimacy. Identify and discuss the link between key social psychological theories and social behaviours: evaluate and reflect on classical social psychology experiments. Social psychology: first in-class midterm (20%) on january 31st, chapters: 1,3,4,& 6, and lecture materials, second in-class midterm (20%) on march 7th, chapters: 7,8,9, & 10 and lecture materials since the first test, final exam in april (35%) Quiz 1 feb 8th before midnight. Quiz 2 march 1st before midnight. Quiz 3 march 22nd before midnight. Quiz 4 march 29th before midnight. In class quizzes (15%: 18 quizzes are administered in class and your mark consists of the best 15.
