Critique of communism too ideal, utopian. Property in the hands of the state taking away rights of individual, giving to the government. Yugoslavia, soviet russia, cuba, china to certain extent, north korea historically communist. Not simply description of the world system, but revolution of capitalist society. To describe capitalism in order to create the way in which capitalism can be overthrown. If wage labour alienates from our human essence, critique of wage labour should reunite us with our human essence. But society couldn"t function like this not universally possible. A change in the way people desire wanting to work for a greater purpose, for what"s good for the whole community: there"s no such thing as consciousness that is pure, independent of its historical context. What defines a society, mode of production is the way it arranges material human bodies, physical things: material base. Production of consciousness or experience of that world.
