We should all concern about ourselves and nothing more people may matter to us but only if they are beneficial to us. I feel for the most part this argument is sound, however, there is mention at the end we are more likely to do harm than good to which i disagree. There is also no reason to believe we would do harm to those we are trying to help. One may feel degraded about being the object of charity: if everyone looks out for his or her own interests, everyone will be better off .
