Database- collection of related data that can be stored, sorted, organized and queried. Has been created that receives and stores our generated data and enables it to be processed and used by others. Categorizing, sorting, and filtering are key attributes of most databases. Stubhub online ticket exchange platform is an example of database- sellers list tickets on this and specify categories the tickets fall into and other details such as day and time and set a price. Buyers access the website using filters to narrow down the type of ticket and if database does not have categories for sellers to choose from, buyers wont be able to locate tickets they want. Simple tasks- lists are adequate e. g. books to buy list you create in excel or table on word is often sufficient to organize simple data. Problem with lists lead to inefficiencies due to repetition of data and errors from inconsistently entered or updated data:
