Directly via human growth hormone secretagogue receptor (ghsr) (the ghrelin receptor) ** ghrelin peaks before a meal, insulin peaks after a meal. Both respond acutely to the body"s energy status. Inter-meal ghrelin levels display a diurnal variation: gradually increases during the day and over nigh, the decreases after breakfast. Still a diurnal variation: gradually increases during the day, then drops overnight. Ghrelin vaccinations: antibodies that bind to ghrelin, stimulating the immune system to attack it. Rats were treated to one of 3 vaccines.
