Parents who are uninvolved with their children and sometimes even hostile toward them: appear focused on own (cid:374)eeds, (cid:374)ot (cid:272)hild"s, little attention to emotional states, not likely to comfort child when upset. High parental warmth, high parental control authoritative. Low parental warmth, high parental control authoritarian. High parental warmth, low parental control permissive.
