Observed almost 700 individuals engaged in sexual activity. Body"s initial response: few minutes to a few hours. Increased heart rate, blood pressure, heightened muscle tension. Physical changes men: penis increases in length and diameter, rigid, angle of penis changes, scrotal skin thickens, nipples erect. Physical changes women: clitoral shaft increases in size, uterus lifts and enlarges, labia more engorged, darken in colour, vagina lubricates, breasts enlarge, nipple erect. Changes in men: glans of penis increases and darkens in colour, preorgasmic emission, testes elevate and rotate, prostate enlarges. Changes in women: vagina swells, labia minor engorged, clitoral glans retracts under it"s hood, nipple more erect, areolae swell. Men: occurs in emission and ejaculation phase, men experience refractory period. Women: muscle contractions of vagina, uterus, anus, 3-15 contractions, some women expel small amount of fluid. Can take up to an hour if no orgasm.
