They all offer differing levels of pm support, aimed at supporting different types of project complexities. Key pm traits to keep in mind when selecting a tool: scheduling, cost management, risk management, human resource management, communications management, process management, good usability / ux. Tracking: log project work and effort in terms of completed tasks. What-if analysis: e. g. analyzing alternative project options, for instance, moving tasks around in the schedule, changing task assignments to see impact on schedule.
