The conferences that took place for the past three weeks were able to bring the ideas and opinions of the members in group 14 that brought much discussion each week. The focuses of the week"s discussions were the advancements in technology and the impact on society. We also discussed the advancements in relation to humans, such as cloning, and looked at the blue gene project created by ibm. Overall, the discussions amongst group 14 were very productive, and many interesting points arose from various opinions stated. Based on my research during the week one conference, google"s new privacy policy caused a discrepancy amongst the google community, which caused many people to be upset and happy about the new change. Google"s new privacy policy, is that they were now able to store personal information from customers and store it indefinitely, all with the mindset to better serve people using.
