Testes (where sperm is produced: consist of seminiferous tubules (testosterone produced between these) Epididymis (where sperm matures: first part that carries sperm from the body, made up of coiled tubes (sperm pass prior to ejaculation, immature sperm spend at least 20 days here. Mature and gain ability to swim: main site of sperm storage. Glands (produce fluid components of semen: accessory (contribute to formation of semen) Secretes thick clear mucus (lubrication during sexual interactions) Vas deferens (delivers sperm to urethra and external genitalia: main site of sperm storage, eventually leave and enter ejaculatory duct (passes through prostate gland) Semen: ejaculate and consists of sperm and nutritive fluid. Seminal fluid provides sugar (supplies sperm cells with energy) Testes leave body through inguinal canals (scrotum protects them: important in development b/c sperm don"t mature at body temperature, lower testes support sperm maturation. Penis is a skin covered shaft: tip is enlarged (glans penis)
