Marine art- used to describe a variety of painted/printed subjects, from beach scenes to carefully detailed portraits of ships. There would also be portraits of officials and ship owners etc. British culture, though it was still below that line: luny gained first-hand knowledge of how ships operate in the navy. There seems to be an emphasis done on marine art is authenticity.
