Document Summary
Dsm-5 for different categories and personality disorders tend to be clusters together. Ie: people with borderline disorder have a dependent disorder: gender bias in diagnoses, antisocial person= male, hystrionic= female, borderline is less gender bias (but clinicians think females, and narcissism with males) Treatment: teaching basic social skills to make eye contact etc. Schizotypical (cluster a: low grade versions of schizophrenia, socially isolated (but not as much as schizoid, magical thinking of conspiracy theories and become very interested. Interested in social relationships but do not have good outcomes because of their eccentricity and off behavior: the way they think is difference- link loose associations. Causes: clearly a type of schizophrenia, similar deficits in prefrontal cortex, treatment, brain games to build their cognitive functioning (attention training, visual spatial skills, memory etc , possibly under stress, they could develop full blown schizophrenia.
