The cuteness of babies, stimulate certain brain areas. The cuteness makes you tolerant to all the disturbing activities kid does. Critical period: child should be exposed to learn. The educational background of parents can be a predictor of family status in which the child grew up in. Not direct neighbors or friends but will be specific to you. Macro: big system, cultural expectations, geographical location. Gender roles within a culture: learning theory. Classical conditioning: this explains the development of phobias. Positive reinforcement: add something positive to encourage a behavior. Negative reinforcement: remove something to encourage a behavior.
