Document Summary

Test-statistic (t s): a z* or t* value that indicates a probability which determines the rejection or failure to reject h0. Null hypothesis (h0): the null hypothesis typically corresponds to a general or default position: the null hypothesis can never be proven. Your data can only reject a null hypothesis or fail to reject it. The alternative hypothesis (h1 or ha): asserts a particular relationship between the phenomena. The alternative need not be the logical negation of the null hypothesis and predicts the results from the experiment if the alternative hypothesis is true. Do i have enough evidence that to reject h0 or h1: we cannot prove h1, we can only give evidence for that belief. = reject h0 when h0 is true. Decided the person is guilty ie. when he is innocent. = accept h0 when h0 is false.
