The innate social abilities must be developed through socialization with other human. Infants are not (cid:271)orn (cid:862)(cid:271)lank slates(cid:863), and instead are (cid:271)orn so(cid:272)ial beings in order for the child to become a functioning, socialized human adult. Feral and abandoned children who have not grown up with human interaction are unable to become fully functioning adults.
