Nutrition: a science that studies the interaction between living organisms and the food they consume. Nutrients and energy are provided by food we consume. Higher consumption has increased higher chances of obesity and chronic diseases throughout the population. 50% of canadian adults don"t meet their recommended servings of vegetables and fruit and of canadians over the age of 30 don"t consume their recommended servings of milk and alternatives. Macronutrients: needed in the body in large amounts as they provide energy to the body.
