These supports are put into place considering all of the possible students that may be in your classroom. Udl is a proactive approach done before students enter the classroom. Udl involves building adaptations into the curriculum up front to increase access for all students. The udl principle to provide multiple means of representation is connected to the content elements of di what the teacher plans to teach. The udl principle to provide multiple means of engagement is connected to the process element of di why a teacher chooses a particular method, strategy or approach to teach content/skills to a given set of learners.
