To keep her from having children, locks her in an underground chamber. Zeus enters the chamber as a rain of gold and impregnates denae with perseus. Perseus and danae live underground for 4 years. One day, perseus is playing too loudly and acrisius hears. Puts them in a chest and throws them out to sea (fears zeus, so he makes sure they live) They float up to the shores of seriphos and are discovered by dictys (fisherman) who took them in.
