Diverse histories for many different groups but a power differential. Procedural: related to history of racism whereby various racialized groups have little or no political power and/or influence: no/muted political voice, voices not taken into consideration, often ignored. Spatial patterns linked to limitations in political power. Sarnia"s chemical valley aamjiwnaang first nation community: several large gas/oil companies located here. Located just miles from reserve land- no control over the chemical valley be- ing put there: chemical valley (sites) located upstream of reserve.
