Bullies and those being bullied is a risk factor. A community with half a populaion under 19 is a risk factor because that means that people are either unemployed or have a large amount of suicide rate. Truth and reconciliaion: risk factors include poor" educaion. Risk is context speciic: we never know a person"s risk for violence, only esimate: i. e. if they drink, if they do drugs etc. Predicts to reofend: reofends is true posiive correct, does not false posiive incorrect. Predicts to not reofend: reofends is false negaive incorrect, does not reofend true negaive correct. Base rate: represents the percentage of people within a given populaion who commit a criminal act: predicion diicult when base rates are too high or low. If 90 percent will be violent, then there is no instrument to use, and therefore, we assume all are violent. Predicion: outcome reofend 500 and not reofend 500. Predicts to reofend: true posiive n=90, false posiive n=90.
