Document Summary

Midterm next class: even split of mc between chapter 5 and 6: one written from each chapter. Without our memory we would be pretty useless. Things that get in the way of memorizing abilities: alzheimer"s, brain injuries/concussions. There is a small number of people who can"t forget anything. This can be bad because we will even remember all the pains. It"s not always an accurate memory, we remember what we want amplify so it sticks in our mind a lot stronger. Memories are so collaborative: you usually talk about the past with someone else (remember with someone, we may not remember the entire situation, we may only remember another part of the memory because someone else remembers it. We compare incoming information to information we already have. If we have a certain perception of someone, we will interpret future events involving them based on that previous memory/perception.
